How much do your sheds cost?
Like for like, our sheds cost around the same as stock-standard kit sheds. The difference is, your Designer Sheds shed comes exactly as you want it – length, width, height and even the pitch of the roof.
While other companies are bound by standard kit sizes which make customisation difficult, fraught with mistakes and unrealistically expensive, any extension or addition to your Designer Sheds shed will cost just the incremental cost of that extra material.
In other words, if you want to add 200mm to the height, the cost will only increase by the small price of the extra material needed for that height.

Some appear to have cheaper prices. But, like I’m sure you’ve experienced with other purchases, the reason why things are cheap is usually because they are ‘cheap’. Will your sheds blend in with my property?
With a choice of 22 colours, 3 cladding profiles, 2 gutter designs and 5 different roof pitches your new shed is sure to blend beautifully with and enhance the value of your property.
Conversely, a shed that DOESN’T match the look and feel of surrounding buildings can detract from the value of your home. Blending as closely as possible is a sound design principle for adding value to your property.
Do you supply shed homes or kit homes?
Shed homes, kit homes and granny flats are quite distinct types of buildings from your standard shed. They also fall under a different building classification that we do not specialise in. In short, if you’re looking for these types of structure, we’re not the best choice.

Chris Laan and Peter Roughan got into the shed business 22 years ago after experiencing constant problems with their former suppliers (another well-known shed brand). They worked tirelessly and invested hundreds of thousands of dollars developing their own proprietary Design Software and Manufacturing Process to enable them to custom design the exact shed you want for around the same price as a stock-standard kit shed. What is the correct wind rating for my shed?

Do I need council approval to erect my shed?
Generally, you WILL require council approval. And we can help you through this process.
Do you offer free delivery?
We deliver free to over 90% of Australia’s population. If you live in certain rural or remote areas, then we offer delivery at cost, or give you the option of picking up your shed kit from within our free delivery area at no extra charge.
Can you ship to remote locations and/or internationally?
Yes. And it’s surprisingly affordable.
Do you also erect sheds?
No, we don’t have a building arm. But our proprietary designs are so simple any builder can usually erect your shed with ease. Some customers with the necessary skills even choose to build their own shed.
Unlike kit sheds that often have missing pieces or complicated additions (a bit like a jigsaw) your Designer Sheds shed comes with the exact parts you need (no more, no less). And our designs have been simplified over the years to make the construction process as hassle-free as possible.

Yes. We’re happy to help you choose a suitable builder. Thanks to our connections in the industry we are usually able to source one or more builders for you to contact for quotes. While the final decision is up to you, we’ll help out wherever we can to point you in the right direction.
Do you offer any guarantees?

- Price Guarantee: We guarantee to provide you with an exact price quote based on any design you choose, correct as of time of quoting. Due to the fluctuating price of steel, your price is locked in once you are paid in full.
- Design Guarantee: We guarantee your shed will exactly match the design you’ve approved or we’ll fix it or re-supply for free.
- Supply Guarantee: We guarantee that the Bill of Materials for your shed will be 100% correct for the shed you ordered. If we miss something out of the Bill of Materials or get a component wrong, we’ll make it right straight away AND give you $500. In addition, if any component is missing from the initial delivery due to a mistake in the shipping process, we guarantee everything will be delivered as soon as possible, at our cost.
